Belts for a group

A wedding party, a unit, a team. Everyone designs their own belt and gives their own measurements; one person — the organizer — gets a single invoice for the whole group, and the finished pieces are posted together in one parcel.

How it works

  1. The shop sets the group up and gives you a group number and a password. Anyone with those two can join and start their own piece.
  2. Everyone designs their own belt. Their own measurements, their own artwork, their own lettering. You can see how far along people are and nothing else — not their measurements, not their design.
  3. Each person approves their own drawing. Nothing is cut until they have seen exactly what will be made and said yes to it, and the organizer cannot approve for them.
  4. The shop sends the organizer one quote — every piece, one bundled shipment, and insurance — once everybody has finished and the delivery address is set.
  5. The organizer pays that one invoice. Nobody else is charged and nobody else pays the shop directly.
  6. The group is made together and posted together, in one parcel, to the single address the organizer gives.

Two things worth knowing before you start

One parcel, one address. A piece in a group cannot be sent somewhere else. If one of them needs to go to a different address it has to be ordered on its own.

Handing in ends your part. Once somebody hands their piece in they cannot change the design themselves — they would have to ask the shop.

A group is not a matching set

A matching set is one order with more than one piece in it — a belt and a matching collar for the same person, designed together, priced together and sent to one address. You order a set on the custom belt page, by choosing both pieces.

A group is many people, each with their own order, their own measurements and their own approval, invoiced once to the organizer. They are not the same thing and the shop does not treat them the same way.

Starting one

Groups are set up by the shop. Tell me about yours — how many people, and roughly when you need them — and I will set the group up and send you the number and password to pass round.
